Batam, SEAJori — Hang Nadim International Airport in Batam suspended all flight operations on the Batam–Jakarta route on Sunday (September 6, 2026), following volcanic ash hazards from the eruption of Mount Anak Krakatau in Sunda Straits.
“We have canceled 21 flights to and from Jakarta due to volcanic ash impact from Mount Anak Krakatau’s eruption,” said Anton Marthalius, Operational Director of PT Bandara Internasional Batam (BIB), through Corporate Secretary Geraldi this afternoon.
Geraldi detailed that the affected flights involve four major carriers: Citilink (eight flights), Garuda Indonesia (six flights), Super Air Jet (four flights), and Batik Air (three flights).
The following updated canceled flights from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK) to Batam (BTH) include:
